Intermediate Tango Course June 2009 Cycle

The next batch of Intermediate lessons are being divided into two days / groups. Each group will consist of the same sessions:

The Gehwol Group:
Location: Professional Health & Beauty Import Ltd., 145/147, Eucharistic Congress Road, Mosta (supported by Gehwol, caring for your dancing feet)

The Uni Group:
Location: University Common Room, Msida (supported by MUSC)

Dates:

Tues 2nd June 9pm
Tues 9th June 9pm

Tues 23rd June 9pm

Information for both groups

Who may apply: Those who have recently been dancing on a regular basis AND have done beginners level 2 at least once, those who have been taking previous intermediate sessions or have done the equivalent in private sessions (if you are not sure if you are of the level to take the course you can ask us, and we will guide you accordingly).

Price: 

For one group: 30 Euros for the 4 sessions

If you would like to attend both groups: 45 Euros for the 8 sessions 

How to apply: 

* Send us an email indicating your 1st preference group (Gehwol/Uni), but let us know if you can make it for all the dates in both groups.

* Tell us if you want to attend one group (30E) or both groups (45E)

* As always if you have a partner it is better, so let us know that too.

* We will try to balance out the two groups equally

* We might have to refuse bookings if there is a large unbalance in leaders/followers, or ask you to shift groups to achieve the best balance possible

* We will confirm bookings once we have an equal distribution between groups and leaders & followers

Important Note: If there are elements of Beginners Level 2 that you feel you have not yet mastered, we recommend that you re-take those sessions at half price (check out the other email sent out for details). Elements from Beginners 2 will be used extensively and obviously we will be assuming that you are fluent in their use, and we will not be re-explaining those elements.

Milonga by Tango Malta at Alexandra Hotel in St. Julian's from 9pm onwards.  We also have a Coffee & Question session with Argentinian Tango dancer Cecilia Pascual at 8pm. For more info please email us. 

21st May 2009: Milonga del Sur

Argentine Tango in Malta at Il-Forn Art Gallery and Wine Bar in Birgu, this Thursday 21st May from 9pm onwards. A practica will be held by Nathalie one-hour beforehand from 8pm. For further information email us.

14th May 2009: Milonga del Sur

Milongas this week :)

Our regular Milonga will be held this Thursday 14th May from 9pm onwards at Il-Forn, Birgu with a one-hour practica preceding it (8PM - 9PM). Dancers of all levels are encouraged to attend the practica - Nathalie and Gordon will be there to answer any questions you have during the practica.

For those who are not satisfied with dancing only once a week, Isla del Tango is holding a Milonga on Saturday, 16th May, at St. James Cavalier, Valletta, from 9.30pm onwards. Music will be provided by DJ WALDO. There is no entrance fee, but you are asked to bring some drink, cakes or snacks so that we can dance and party till late. Tango in Malta this Thursday 7th May 2009 will be held at Il-Forn Art Gallery and Wine Bar in Birgu (map on the right hand side) from 9pm onwards. We will be holding a practica session from 8pm - 9pm before for all levels. Email us for more information.

Argentine Tango Beginners' Course May 2009

We are pleased to announce a beginners' course in Argentine Tango starting on Wednesday 20th May at 8pm, consisting of 4 sessions held every Wednesday thereafter. Lessons are one-and-a-half hours long, followed by a practice session. The cost is of 40 Euros for the whole course (30 Euros for senior citizens and full-time students). You do not need a partner, but if you do have one or encourage someone to come with you, it does simplify things for us. Aspiring leaders without a partner, please note that we already have a list of ladies waiting! The venue will be confirmed shortly.  Please email nathalie@tangomalta.org  for more details.
