A practica asistida will be held on Monday 29th November from 9pm-11pm at St Augustine Hall, Rabat (map).



A practica is a good opportunity to practice what you have learnt and ask for assistance if you have any difficulties. It is also a way of meeting other tangueros/as from other groups, in a casual and relaxed setting.

It is not a substitute for missed classes.




It is open to all levels and Nathalie will be happy to answer all your questions.

30th November 2010: Milonga Sentimental

Claudia & Gordon are organising one last milonga before they leave, and what better place to celebrate the last three years of Tango Malta than going back to its birth place, where thanks to Il-Forn we were able to hold weekly milongas for over a year and a half.

We hope to see you all, including all those old faces that we haven't seen for a while before we leave!

Saturday 27th November 2010: Milonga Nostalgia

Apart from being the workshop Milonga during Jelena and Dominik's Workshop, during this Milonga we will be playing for the first time a whole tanda of Tangos sung in Maltese recorded in the early 30s. This is thanks to the Malta's Lost Voices Project and Andrew Alamango who have sought to recover old recordings by Maltese artists. A limited amount of CDs containing one of the Tangos will also be available for sale on the night.

Workshop with Jelena and Dominik Update

Tango Malta is organising a farewell workshop for Gordon and Claudia before leaving to Buenos Aires. The special guests for this workshop are Jelena Ivanovic (who was in Malta last year and gave a wonderful tecnica class) and her partner Dominik Muller. They plan to work on dance elements through Tango, Milonga and Vals.

Notices:

Booking Policy: Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment. Cancellations are only allowed until the 15th November, after which no refunds will be given.

Advice: We encourage those taking primeros pasos and principiantes to take workshop A. For those taking Intermedios, as always you can benefit from all workshops since refinement in Tango is an important aspect of the dance. However, workshop B will definitely be aimed at your level. If you are not sure which workshop/s is best, you can always consult with Gordon or Claudia who will be able to guide you accordingly.

11th November 2010: Milonga @ Phoenicia

The Phoenicia Hotel in Valletta will be hosting our Milonga on Thursday 11th November, from 8.30pm onwards. Tango music will be provided by DJ G. You may email your music requests to DJ@TangoMalta.org.

4th November 2010: Milonga @ Villa Madama + 'Pre-Milonga' class for Primeros and Pricipiantes

The Wine Gardens at Villa Madama, Balzan will be hosting our Milonga on Thursday 4th, from 8.30pm onwards. Tango music will be provided by DJ d net.
Entrance is €3.

Just before the milonga, also at Villa Madama, Nathalie will hold a 1h drop in class for Primeros and Pricipiantes (7.30 - 8.30pm). More details here…
